From now on you can return your Mega form Pokemon into the very basic form and get Mega form transformation item back (Mega Gem, Perfect Gem, Ultimate Gem, Legendary Gem)

Items will be added to your inventory automatically

If you release Pokemon to wilderness you will not get your item back!

you mean from next update? Because now you only get mega level gem back. I think it would be fairest if we could get even normal transformations gems back too
