Recently I was given an assignment of writing an essay on the contributions of Sir APJ Abdul Kalam and I must say his life history is quite inspiring. While writing my essay, his positive reactions to both achievements and failures motivated me a lot. We all face failures and struggles in life. But Sir APJ Abdul Kalam always used to work harder and made his point that HARD WORK FOREVER PAYS.

He was born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu and studied physics and aerospace engineering. He spent the next four decades as a scientist and science administrator, mainly at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and was intimately involved in India's civilian space programme and military missile development efforts
