It's to help pokemon gain more points in a stat, for example, if i ev train my groudon in attack and hp, the hp and attack stats increase

Well you need to get it in detailed for it's information to understand between iv and ev ask about Blau's guide maybe he can help you

well, its used for pokemon to gain more power depending upon the stat its ev trained. you could pm a mod or ask in game.
