only 3 things u need to do - 1. finish pokedex,  will give u DPS (different pokemon score)
                                       2. make sure to level each thing as soon as u acquire, will give u avg lvl score and total exp score
                                        3. try to keep ur money ranks up for money score.

Buy gems for  megas once you have money to spare, they're also dps. But if you want a challenge, try to get all of them and make them pvp worthy at the same time.

Rainbow candies. If you click the third icon that is the Pokémon reward you can get. It shows you what poekmon will appear. Once you get to level 20 what ever legendary is currently available for 5 star raids are also available for encounter. But it’s all random. Not guaranteed.
