Just a technicality really, but the wording of the move description suggests that you are either increasing hp of the pokemon you are attacking (the target) instead of your own hp, or that you are increasing your hp by 25% of the target pokemon's maximum hp.  Not that you are really increasing your hp by 25% of YOUR maximum hp.
