How to get married in Georgia
#1
We’re considering getting married in Georgia and want to understand the full process. We’re both foreigners and looking for something legal, simple, and quick. Has anyone gone through it recently? What steps should we expect?

Yes, we got married in Georgia earlier this year. It was surprisingly straightforward. No need for residency or long waiting times. We just brought the right documents, had them translated and notarized locally, and the marriage was registered within a couple of days. It’s also valid internationally, which was important for us.

Same here. We chose Georgia because it didn’t require a lot of bureaucracy. The key is making sure your documents are in order ahead of time. Some couples also add a symbolic ceremony after the legal part. It’s a nice way to make it more personal without making it complicated.

We’re in the planning stage now and found this helpful site https://leto.wedding/ . They organize legal marriages for foreigners in Georgia and guide you through every step. They also offer packages if you want to add a ceremony or photos. Looks like a good option if you want things handled professionally.
