Dialga's Dragon Pulse

Hi I'm Charmander Shiny moving on from the Introduction So why Doesn't Dialga have Dragon Pulse?

Dialga in games does not learn the move via level up, also it was a TM in Gen 4(iirc) & 5, but was removed in Gen 6, why there is no way for Dialga to learn Dragon Pulse.

That comment about there being no dragon pulse was made a very long time ago, well before the most recent update. At the time, Dialga did not have dragon pulse.

That’s an interesting question! Dialga is actually a Steel/Dragon type, and its movepool focuses more on its Steel and Time-related abilities. It might not have Dragon Pulse to keep its role unique in battles!

Exactly! Dialga's typing and lore make it pretty unique already — being the embodiment of time and all. Its movepool leans heavily into that theme, with signature moves like Roar of Time taking center stage. Not giving it Dragon Pulse might actually be intentional to avoid overlapping too much with other Dragon-types that rely on those classic moves.

Plus, it kind of forces players to think outside the usual “Dragon-type = Dragon Pulse” mindset and explore different strategies. So yeah, it’s an interesting design choice that adds a bit more flavor to how Dialga plays in battle!
