I just recently adopted a dog from a shelter and I don't know how best to organize our car trips together. She has never had any training with a dog trainer, so the option of her just sitting next to me is not suitable. I saw on the pinewoodleather.com website that there are leather dog seatbelts that attach to the seat belt buckle. Is this really reliable?

And what kind of dog did you manage to adopt? What is your dog's story? Is it purebred or not? I was also thinking about getting another dog from the shelter so that my husky wouldn't be so sad when I go to work, but I'm still thinking about it. When we need to go somewhere, either to the lake or to the vet, I use the leather dog seatbelt from PinewoodLeather and it was really a godsend for me. I also didn't know that you could secure your dog like that, because before I just drove slowly so that she wouldn't accidentally fall and hurt herself. The leash is very securely fastened in the seat belt buckle, just like the seat belt, so it can't come undone.
