are these ability changes for only mega versions or will be applied to shiny  and normal pokemons ?
#3
overall i feel the changes are good so thanx a lot for planning it

only thing which i feel can change as thread is to improve pokemon usefulness
not saying its bad just for making even better we can do it since those pokemon arent being used much in pve or pvp now

maximum accuracy  to maximum guard
sleep immunity / confusion immunity / paralysis immunity  to perfect body
critical immunity not a usable ability overall
#4
looks like mega-venomoth got buffed while mega-butterfree got nerfed.. they looked just fine as they were venotmoth had more speed but a little less damage while butterfree had less speed and more damage. if the changes were to be go trough i don't see why i would use butterfree over venomoth anymore ^^

for the rest awesome finnaly no more competition on the 100% male/female pokes Smile
#5
Removing Competition ability is really good. the other changes are quite nice as well. the greninja though looks kinda bipolar. and the froslass, given its speed, effect expert seems lame.

I agree that froslass should keep current abilities. Not because only of its speed, but also because of its other base stats and movepool. Froslass is a sweeper, and will not be using moves like leer or rest, keeping radiation is better than changing to effect expert.

The change from water mania to physical master not going to improve greninja. I can see that physical master would make its huge physical movepool more usable. But even after physical master is applied, its physical moves are far inferior to the special moves it can use. Just keep water mania, its more useful, especially considering its bulk, it'll die in one hit. Use survival armor, and its hyper surf is much stronger.

No anger on mega conkeldurr.
Reason why :
Anger is useless, conkel does not boast the survivability it needs to make any use of it.
Conkel is one of very few slaking stoneage alternatives as a wallbreaker, making it even less useful just nullifies just about any reason to get any other wallbreaker except stoneage...
Besides.. ruin it and i demand another reward Since i Picked conkeldurr without any kind of hint that there are Plans to make it useless on the very next update.
Es
I pretty much don't see any improvements to most of those Pokemon tbh, but Stating why on everything would take me Too long...

Don't change rhyperiors abilities at all. they're fine. don't touch them. Same with tyranitar, kingler, and anything containing anger, or assassin

Beat me? Ha, when Tyranitars fly...

i have question:
bug immunity, dragon immunity, flying immunity,etc.. i see many abilities in abilities list but no one pokemon have abilities like it.. why? Rolleyes

decrease mega breloom attack only make breloom become not usefull sweeper why not decrease def than atk Huh
#11
some of the abilities r messed up
MAGIC..

I was going to make a full list of my thoughts on each change, but then I realized I really didn't care enough about the majority of the pokes. regardless of what abilities they get 90% of those here will not be seen in pvp or used that much in general

So I'll just talk about the changes I found more interesting Smile

changes for the pokes that don't make sense or make them weaker

  1. On the mega pyroars am I seriously spotting 4 abilities on the proposed new abilities for them? And while we are at it can we have something to differentiate between the 2 mega's other than just art? for example maybe have a speed related ability on pyroar-f and a bulk related ability on pyroar. Or maybe slightly different stats, or a couple different moves in their movepools? something ya know :3
  2. Greninja would be better off keeping it's water mania ability over physical master because even with physical master picking a physical build for greninja over a special one is really bad, the difference between mega-greninja's spatt and att is too great for that little bit to help

Changes for pokes that make them stronger/more fit

  1. Gigalith gets a mega? cool definite plus (he didn't have one before) and no useless abilities in sight :3 (and I already have a decent gigalith so I'm personally happy on this one)
  2. Mega Trevenant gets quite a boost from this change although whether it'll be enough for him to leave the storage and join the team is doubtful

whatever
But guys have to say cef have done great work a lot of determination and study
great work cef Smile

mega magnezone's gonna improve a lot soon because of that 4x weakness will be no more.
well, the physical master on mega greninja seems meh. why not evasion master since he's a ninja? :3

Quite frankly.. if it was an expert it would not need to get fixed in the amount it's necessary.
So i will explain ability selection rather than each and every pokemon to save myself time..

Venomous and/or Assassin ...

Those abis have less than NO use on sweepers.
Both are abilities by chance.
So a pokemon whose use is to effectively kill a pokemon in 1Hit or die in 1Hit does not profitate from an ability which only is effective if you can hit repeteadly.

Anger ...
Anger aswell only is usefull... well... if a pokemon got survivability
Thus a regenerator ability is necessary at the very least.
Add that status effects decrease stats and you find, that the damage boost is useless to begin with, so certainly a worse selection than competition.

Berserk....
Is a draw back to start with
Only useful on pokemon with low offensive stats and/or hone claws, huge survivability.
Otherwise each battle results in a gamble,  which by no means is an icrease in usefulness..

Effect Expert ...
Only useful if you have beast moves like Yawn, Healing Moves etc.
AND a fair amount of defenses etc.
Tanks and Walls profitate from it, sweepers... do not.
Unless you want something like darkrai / venomoth / butterfree to go hard with sleep.

P.s.: then there's not a Single "thick fat" copy paste pokemon on here, which certainly needs it more than those on the list. (Example : Hariyama, Snorlax, Grumpig etc.)

I may or may not bother to add other ability explanation to show how horrible that list is... don't really feel to anymore.

that is the way to fix this list.

here we are trying to improve the game quality and this list is prepared by an expert player

Quite frankly.. if it was an expert it would not need to get fixed in the amount it's necessary.

I totally agree with Blau on this, once i have it finished i will add my comment on the various things i feel as wrong. But other those things already listed by Blau, I want to say right now that all those stats point taken from the best stat to give them to speed is a waste as speed will stay low anyway. Make a pokemon weaker just to make it sligthly faster is pointless

crictical immunity alsso a total waste on pokemons imo  and like blau said but there are more which needs to be changed

the list updated

by the way we can also tune abilities if necessary to make them more useful

you can also comment about ability tuning

what do you mean by tuning? And as this is a really huge list of changing, I think we need some more time to talk about it, as the next update could be too soon before we decided something

He means improving abilities, like giving them a boost to make them useful. For example, increasing the damage bonus you get from Water/Fire/Etc Mania from 30% to 40.

Or Effect Expert work like Prankster, giving priority to any kind of non-damaging move.

The abilities aren't the Problem.
An increase of chance to poison or increased dmg buff doesn't fix the messed up allocation.
Example (note: just an example for explanation's sake!) : increasing venomous chance to poison by hit to .. let's go overkill and say 50%.
Would still be useless on Sweeper since they are meant to kill on 1hit, or die the round after.

We're talking about increasing usefulness, means alot of third class pokemon are listed, yet i see third class abilities.
The worse the Pokemon, the better the ability needs to be.
Third class Stuff can be Assigned to top tier Pokemon to even the difference.
(And buffing abis won't help with that since it'a reliability which matters.
Slow strong : guaranteed and constant 40% stat increase > any other damage buffing ability, since it's on bulky mons, and speed ain't a drawback on those.)

the real problem is actually the stats changing

error/ mistake Mega Nidoqueen: Special Master, Ground Master, Special Master\\

2 times same ability

like i said before assassin, critic master , critical immunity are not useful abilies along with few other so they should be totally removed even from the abilities list
